More about Masha...

Masha is a life-long dancer, originally from Ukraine, raised in California, USA.  Before arriving in Marrakech Masha lived in Istanbul, Turkey for two years performing in many of Istanbul's finest Oriental dance venues; notably, she was one of very few select foreigners accepted to perform as a house dancer at the famous Oriental dance venue "Sultana's 1001 Nights, Istanbul". Prior to her life in Turkey, Masha was based in the San Francisco Bay Area, California, USA.

Masha's personal dance style, largely influenced by classical Egyptian Oriental earned her multiple awards in USA belly dance competitions including: "Belly Dancer of the Universe" (Los Angeles, 2014) "Ultimate Belly Dance Artist" ( Las Vegas, 2013) & "Champion of Taksim" ( Los Angeles, 2012)

asha has been studying the art of Oriental dance for over 11 years, with additional dance training in ballet, flamenco, samba, Persian and Central Asian dance forms. She has performed internationally as a guest artist in Greece, Ukraine and India, as well as taught Oriental dance workshops in the USA, Ukraine, Turkey, and Jamaica. The richness of Middle Eastern music is her inspiration and she strives to share the beauty, joy, and elegance of this art form with her students and audience.
